Revealed the cover art for Testament's upcoming album
Testament revealed the cover art for the upcoming album: "The Brotherhood Of The Snake". Eliran Kantor is the mind behind the Art and concept. Here are his words about the art: "Eric told me of the title, referring to a secret society group - and I wanted to focus on the occult aspect of it without leaning on the already available myths.
I pictured a ritual involving blindfolded figures coming out of chalices of black oil, holding scythes forming the teeth of a 3-headed snake.
Looking for ways to incorporate the masonic pyramid felt like a great opportunity to use the classic logo while adding something new to it, and also give it an active part in the plot.
There are many tiny details adding to the atmosphere: red tongue bookmarks in the books, two more ancient-looking figures in the shadows hinting at the brotherhood's lineage, two serpent-shaped fountain tubes pouring the black oil etc etc. The latter two were suggested by the band."
"The Brotherhood Of The Snake" release date: October 28, 2016 on Nuclear Blast

Upcoming Instrumental album with Steve Di Giorgio on bass
Steve Di Giorgio will be featuring on the upcoming release by the italian maestro: Mystheria (Bruce Dickinson, RoyZ, Rob Rock, Vivaldi Metal Project). The album collects 13 songs written and/or arranged by Mistheria in the metal, neoclassical, prog-metal genres. 13 tracks. ~ 60 min.
GEMINI ALBUM FEATURES:MISTHERIA (Bruce Dickinson, RoyZ, Rob Rock, Vivaldi Metal Project) - music, arrangements, keyboards. ROGER STAFFELBACH (Artension, Artlantica) - guitar. LEONARDO PORCHEDDU (Vitalij Kuprij) - guitar. IVAN MIHALJEVIC (Side Effects) - guitar. STEVE DI GIORGIO (Testament, Death) - bass. DINO FIORENZA (Metatrone) - bass. JOHN MACALUSO (ARK, SymphonyX, Malmsteen) - drums
CHRIS CAFFERY (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Savatage) - guitar
ROY Z (Halford, Bruce Dickinson, Tribe of Gypsies)- guitar
Frontiers Music Srl. has signed a handful of American metal musicians to collaborate on a new musical project. The songs that will comprise the first album are being composed by guitarist Chris Caffery (Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra) and vocalist Tim 'Ripper' Owens (Judas Priest, Iced Earth, Charred Walls of the Damned). Enlisted to help with the writing and to produce the entire venture, including recording & mixing is Roy Z Ramirez (Bruce Dickinson, Halford). Filling in the lineup is the powerhouse rhythm section of bassist Steve Di Giorgio (Testament, Death, Sebastian Bach, Charred Walls of the Damned) and drummer Mark Zonder (Fates Warning, Warlord, Graham Bonnet).
The Italian based Frontiers record company that has released many melodic hard rock and progressive metal albums not only initiated this 'super group', but also stands behind other collaborative projects that have seen success under this label as well. Respectful of each band member's heavy touring schedule within their own respective bands, there is no set completion time or release date yet. But the writing has already begun and song ideas are being exchanged throughout the team.
With undertones of Savatage and Judas Priest type sounds being whispered about, and the caliber of musicianship aboard...this is definitely something fans of good music will want to get a hold of!
New song being recorded in advance of new album plans!
Mythodea brings in new drummer from Brasil, Pedro Tinello (Almah) and introducing new vocalist from Italy, Francesco Cavalieri (Wind Rose, Fairyland). Carrying over from last album is American bassist, Steve Di Giorgio (Testament, Death); and band visionary/composer/guitarist located in Greece, Christos Nikolaou.
The new song 'Disconnected' is being recorded and will be released later this year. There are some video teasers of some of the recording sessions [here].
Stay tuned! More to follow regarding the new song progression, and new album possibilities on [facebook]

The Brazilian Digital Magazine - Rock Meeting conducted on it's #100 edition an article based on THE BEST OF 2017, this prize was elected by photographers who attend concerts in Brazil during the entire year of 2017 and shared their BEST OF 2017 moments and experiences. The Brazilian photographer Marta Ayora selected for her BEST OF 2017 momentum: 'The mighty Testament' concert as she said and Steve Di Giorgio as 'one of the most photogenic and expressive in the band' on her words. All the magazine is in Portuguese but here is what Marta said about her experience:
Marta: 'When i started to photograph concerts, i used to hate fog, was just a pure fear about not being able to deliver good pictures. With the course of time, i started to calm down myself, understanding that the fog is common process on gigs and slowly learning how to use it in my favor. In middle of low light and lot's of fog, i've photographed one of the most relevants bands in the thrash metal scenario of all time: The mighty Testament! I never had saw them live and i can say that is an incredible gig, once of the best in 2017, very restless and who photographs end up contagious with it's energy. Between the green light and the fog, appears one of the most photogenic and expressive in the band: the Bass player Steve Di Giorgio. A sort of post-modern viking, very charismatic, someone who between tons of presence on the stage, destroys on the bass and interacts with the crowd doing some amazing poses. Time is over! 3 songs done, was so quick and now what's left for us is check what was done. And the best part? Was saw Steve itself liking and reposting the picture. The recognition from the artist for our work brings an unmeasurable happiness'
The fretless guru has finished his contribution for the upcoming Frontiers Music debut release from Spirits Of Fire.
