Up, close and personal

Hotter Than July...

The Dragonlord album, "Rapture" is officially out. If you're in the need for speed and brutality, check it out. We might do an appearance in Rasputin Records in Concord next week on the 28th.

We've been getting ready for the Thrash Of The Titans show on Aug 11th. I'll be playing two sets, one with Sadus the other with Legacy. Sadus is going on first or second, so if you want to see us - come early!!! We don't have a very long set time, so we'll try to cram songs from all four albums into the small time we can. We're planning on doing songs along the likes of: Aggression, Unreality, Through The Eyes Of Greed, Facelift, In Your Face, Certain Death, Sadus Attack, Hands Of Fate, Power Of One, Crutch...obviously not all of those, but we'll play what we can. Legacy will have probably a rotating line-up. I've heard besides the main-stays of Eric Peterson and Zetro Souza, there'll be Alex Skolnick, Derek Ramirez, Jon Allen, John Tempesta, Paul Bostaph, Louie Clamente, me and I've heard Greg Christiansen's name mentioned too. Should be a lot of fun. We'll be playing all old songs based around the Legacy album and before. As always, you can get total info about the show on www.thrashofthetitans.com.

Around the same time as all of this is going on, we'll also be in the studio recording the kinda-next Testament record. It's going to be a re-recording of 5 songs off of the first record and 5 songs off of the second record, entitled "First Strike Is Deadly". The song list is: Over The Wall, Into The Pit, The Haunting, Reign Of Terror, Burnt Offerings, First Strike Is Deadly, Alone In The Dark, C.O.T.L.O.D., Deciples Of The Watch, Eerie Inhabitants, New Order, The Preacher and Trial By Fire. The recording musicians are: Chuck Billy, Eric Peterson, Alex Skolnick, John Tempesta and me. We're going into start recording from the time peroid of July 27th - Aug 13th with Doug Hall, known mostly for his work with Iron Maiden, and previously working on "Demonic" with Testament. They're looking for an October release. Check it out.

The big news, as far as I'm concerned, is the new project. Me and Darren Travis have been writing songs for an album with Chuck Billy. Chuck had an idea to do a solo album late last year, but since we've been getting together and all contributing we've decided it's more of a band thing. So we put Sadus on hold again and are enjoying a refreshing outlet to work on some ideas we had brewing. We're looking for a name for the band currently, and right now it's just us three writing and arranging. We'll look to fill the line-up later when we're closer to the actual recording of the album. The songs are a good mix of aggression, speed, heaviness, and new catchy parts - typical to all good metal offerings. We're planning on getting this done and released inbetween this re-recording of old Testament songs and the new songs for the next real Testament album.

So that's about the scope of the recent happenings.
Salut.
